Plumeria

Plumeria, Frangipani, Pagoda or also Temple Tree is a succulent shrub or small tree. In the dry season it can be deciduous. They grow about 3 m high and in their natural environment they can grow up to 8 m high. With alternately arranged, up to 40 cm long, leathery, deep green lanceolate leaves. The flowers usually appear in clusters at the end of the shoots and spread an intense, enchanting scent.
Seedlings flower after 3-4 years at the earliest, provided good nutrition and plenty of sunshine. The flower color and shape are not always identical to those of the mother plants. Only a cutting is a 100% clone. It is quite possible that the new flowers have a slightly different color spectrum, which can inspire new varieties!

There are several methods for growing the Plumeria. With seeds you can work all year round. Outside or inside, that depends on the temperature. It is also possible to use a grow light. The best thing is to start with cuttings in the spring. You can then use a heat mat for the best result.

I've been growing these beautiful plants now since 2015 and get seeds and cuttings from various countries.
